HELLO.
I'M VALERIA
About me
The moment I fell in love with production was over a decade ago, when I worked as a production assistant on the Italian version of The X Factor. Since then, I’ve worn many hats: editing video, staging sets, prepping live shows, directing newscasts, producing multilingual broadcasts (often in languages I don’t speak!), and guiding teams from pitch to post. That hands-on foundation grew into a career I now describe as media production—with a global twist.
Originally from Italy, I spent nearly a decade in Canada producing thousands of hours of lifestyle and news programming for Rogers Media. When I moved to the Bay Area, I pivoted into tech—bringing my storytelling instincts to roles at Google and Apple, where I led creative localization and cross-functional production for global product launches and AI experiences.
Now based in Northern California and relocating to New York City, I’m actively seeking my next opportunity as a Project Manager, ideally in television—where I can bring together my creative roots and operational expertise to help shape compelling, world-class content.
My work
A selection of projects and editorials I've been involved with:
Producer - Project Manager
My biggest project so far: 56 episodes of a cooking show. I managed a crew of 10, including cameras and jib, audio, video and mobile control center operators. While shooting I was also acting as floor director, coaching our multiple guests and finally I coordinated the post-production, from overlooking the editing, including graphics, to delivering the final product.
Producer & Senior Writer
(and occasionally hosting)
OMNI News Italian Edition, the only Canadian national newscast in Italian airing daily across the country, has been my home for more than 4 years. I was part of the launch and re-branding of the show back in 2016 and over the years we managed to implement our viewership both on cable and on social media.
Production Assistant
Working at a multicultural tv station gave me the opportunity to take part of many projects in different languages. One of these, the Chinese New Year Special
Production Assistant
I had the pleasure to be part of production team of one of CityTV's biggest project, the annual live from the Grammy's Red Carpet.
Entertainment Reporter
As I say in my script, this is a story about "stepping out of your comfort zone...", not only for the main character of the movie, but also for myself reporting in English. This is part of my interview with Deanna Marsigliese, Character Art Director of "Luca"
Community Reporter
Being a journalist in ethnic media means highlight people from your community. This is an example of an Italian-Canadian young professional who represented Canada at the G20.
Sport Reporter
As a sport fan, it was a pleasure to interview the only Italian NBA champion Marco Belinelli
